Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Electrician in Avon, IN. The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems within a service-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety procedures, the ability to troubleshoot complex issues, and experience working independently to complete service calls efficiently.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20 to $35 Per Hour BOE

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including conduit, lighting fixtures, electrical panels, and transformers.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues to identify and resolve root causes in commercial or industrial service settings.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installations.
  • Install, bend, and route conduit to accommodate specific wiring needs for service upgrades.
  • Pull electrical wiring through conduit and connect it to circuit breakers, transformers, and outlets.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on existing electrical systems to ensure operational safety.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local safety standards.
  • Document work performed and maintain accurate records of materials used and time spent on service tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an electrician, with a specific focus on service and maintenance work.
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and local building codes.
  • Possession of necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and professional-grade hand tools.
  • Dependable and punctual, with the ability to work independently or as part of a service team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret technical documentation.
  • Reliable transportation to various job sites in the Avon, IN area.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and poles safely.
  • Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
  • Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring systems.
