Commercial Fire Alarm & Security Installation Technician
Location: Oklahoma, 73127
Travel Required: Extensive Nationwide Travel (2-4 Weeks at a Time)
Compensation: $25-$45/hr (DOE) + Weekly Pay + Per Diem + Company-Paid Benefits
Our client is seeking experienced Commercial Fire Alarm & Security Installation Technicians to join a growing national team. If you have a strong background installing commercial fire alarm systems and security systems, enjoy traveling, and want to work for a company that values its employees, we'd love to hear from you.
This is a full-time travel position supporting commercial and retail projects throughout the United States. Candidates should be self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working independently while maintaining high-quality workmanship and safety standards.
What You'll Do
- Install commercial fire alarm, CCTV, and intrusion/security systems.
- Run and terminate low-voltage cabling in commercial environments.
- Install cable supports, raceways, j-hooks, and perform limited conduit work.
- Read blueprints, floor plans, and installation drawings.
- Test, troubleshoot, and verify proper operation of installed systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation of completed work.
- Follow NFPA standards, customer requirements, and OSHA safety regulations.
- Work closely with project managers and installation teams to complete projects on schedule.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of commercial fire alarm installation experience.
- 2+ years of commercial security installation experience, including CCTV and intrusion systems.
- Experience installing and troubleshooting commercial low-voltage systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
- Ability to travel for 2-4 weeks at a time nationwide.
- Reliable transportation during the initial training period.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- NICET Certification (Level II or higher)
- State Fire Alarm License(s)
- Experience with multiple fire alarm and security manufacturers
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 72
- Experience with conduit installation and commercial cabling infrastructure
