Job description

Salary Depends on Experience: $50,000 - $100,000



  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or relatedfield

  • 4+ years full-time satisfactory experience.

  • Review power and communication shop drawings toensure compliance with Power & Communication Conduit and Wiring Guidelines.

  • Review capital and in-house constructiondrawings for the installation of communications infrastructure and fare paymentequipment and provide comments.

  • Review, and provide technical support for thevendor’s installation of conduit and wires, communication and power equipment,smartcard readers, and vending machines at NYCT’s stations and buses.

  • Conduct Quality Assurance functions and fieldinspections to ensure all construction work is being performed safely andcomplies with all NYCT operating policies, procedures and guidelines.

  • Review and provide technical input for alloperations and maintenance manuals associated with NFPS.

  • Knowledge of Civil, Electrical, andCommunications standards and practices.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel,PowerPoint and Access computer applications and programs.

  • Excellent written and verbal communicationskills. Able to work in a team environment.

  • Knowledge of NYCT policies, operations andsafety procedures, rules and regulations preferred.

  • Knowledge of NYCT Subway System preferred.

  • Need to travel to project sites located at NYCTstations, bus depots and Railroad location throughout the New York region.

  • Work nights and occasionally on weekends.
