Job Title: Electrician

Location: Kansas City, Kansas (Working in the Kansas City, Kansas Metro Area)

Pay: $40 per hour

Per-Diem: $110 daily, must meet requirements

Hours: 55–65 hours per week, working most Saturdays


Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings throughout Kansas City, Kansas Area. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with EMT conduit installation, electrical panels, wiring, and lighting systems and can read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

This role requires strict adherence to local and national electrical codes, OSHA regulations, and company safety standards. The Electrician will work closely with project managers, fellow electricians, and other trades to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in commercial buildings
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Bend, cut, thread, and install EMT conduit (½" to 1") using hand and mechanical benders
  • Pull wire and cable through conduit and electrical raceways
  • Install electrical panels, circuit breakers, switches, outlets, and lighting systems
  • Test electrical systems using multimeters and circuit testers to ensure functionality and safety
  • Follow local and national electrical codes, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies
  • Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and other trades to complete projects on schedule

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid state-issued Journeyman or Master Electrician license (if required by location)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a commercial electrician
  • Proficient in bending and installing EMT conduit (½" to 1")
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work from ladders and lifts, and perform physical labor
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen
