Job description

Job Title: New Development Laborer/Conduit Installer

Location: Variety of jobsites from Dade to Brevard Counties

Schedule: Monday – Friday with weekends as needed

There is an opportunity for Laborer/Installer on New Development Backbone crew. This position is tasked with the installation of all phases of underground utility installations including conduit, transformer pads, handholes, switch cabinets, and service drops.

Expectations & Responsibilities:

  • Meet crew onsite or agreed meeting location daily
  • Setup of vehicle for daily work (water, fuel, material, equipment, etc.)
  • Able to take directions from Management, Foreman and Supervisors
  • Always represent Viking and Danella in a professional manner
  • Maintaining Viking/Danella Safety Standards
  • Participate in daily JHA creation and understand “Stop Work Authority”
  • Abide by Viking/Danella PPE policy (hardhat, gloves, glasses, reflective, etc)
  • Plan ahead and be prepared to perform daily operations
  • Maintain a high level of production, safety, pride and accountability

Education/Requirements

  • Some experience with conduit installation and jobsite safety
  • Valid driver’s license and/or transportation to jobsite
  • English proficiency a plus
  • Excavator and Skid Steer operation a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Teamwork skills
