Job description

DSI Real Estate Group, LLC is a well-established real estate management company that has been serving Madison, Milwaukee, and the surrounding Wisconsin communities for more than 30 years. DSI provides professional management services for a diverse portfolio of condominium associations, townhome associations, homeowner associations, residential properties, and commercial properties.
We are seeking a Community Association Manager to join our team! As a Community Association Manager, you will provide professional leadership and operational oversight on behalf of the Association's Board of Directors and DSI Real Estate Group, LLC. Serving as the primary liaison between the Board, homeowners, residents, vendors, and community stakeholders, you will foster effective communication, ensure compliance with governing documents and applicable laws, oversee day-to-day association operations, and help maintain and enhance the overall value and quality of the community. This role requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to both clients and residents.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for operations and administrative management of assigned communities.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair activities, preventative maintenance, community improvement projects, capital projects, and regular property inspections.
  • In partnership with the Board, prepare and implement annual budgets, review financial reports and payables, and monitor delinquencies and collection efforts.
  • Prepare and coordinate Board meetings, including required notices, agendas, management reports, supporting documentation, meeting attendance, and follow-up on key priorities and action items.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships and ongoing communications with Board members, homeowners, vendors, contractors, and community staff.
  • Obtain competitive bids, oversee vendor and contractor performance, and ensure contract, insurance, and service requirements are maintained.
  • Ensure compliance with community governing documents, company policies, and applicable federal, state, and local laws while providing exceptional customer service to Board members and homeowners.

Requirements:
  • 3-5 years community association management strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse personalities while demonstrating professionalism, tact, flexibility, and sound judgment.
  • Possess organizational and administrative skills, such as meeting preparation, documentation, record-keeping, and basic budgeting and financial review.
  • Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, including clear written and verbal communication, conflict resolution, and a customer-service mindset.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and effectively manage multiple communities.
  • Works effectively with coworkers, clients, customers, and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; addresses problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions.
