We are hiring dependable and safety-focused Ready Mix Concrete Driver to join our team at our brand new concrete plant in Prospect Hill, NC (Close proximity to Burlington, Hillsborough, Mebane area). The ideal candidate will operate a concrete mixer truck with either a manual or automatic transmission to safely transport and deliver ready-mix concrete to commercial, residential, industrial, and construction job sites.

This position is ideal for new and experienced CDL truck drivers, construction drivers, or candidates with experience operating specialized heavy equipment such as concrete mixers, roll-off trucks, dump trucks, sanitation trucks, garbage trucks, recycling trucks, or other top-heavy commercial vehicles.

The successful candidate must demonstrate strong customer service skills, safe driving practices, time management, and the ability to work in demanding environments and changing weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a ready-mix concrete truck in compliance with all DOT regulations, OSHA standards, company safety policies, and traffic laws
  • Deliver concrete to construction job sites while maintaining product quality and delivery schedules
  • Properly mix concrete materials including cement, sand, crushed stone, water, and additives
  • Read and follow delivery tickets, route instructions, mix specifications, and jobsite requirements
  • Inspect truck equipment before, during, and after shifts to ensure safe operation
  • Communicate professionally with dispatchers, plant personnel, contractors, customers, and construction crews
  • Maneuver and position truck safely at loading areas and job sites
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and comply with all company procedures
  • Perform general housekeeping and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Work safely in high-traffic construction zones, uneven terrain, and various weather conditions
  • Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling, including overtime, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and night shifts
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Valid Class A CDL or Class B CDL required
  • Must past MVR check and have commitment to safe driving practices
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and Job Ready Services screening
  • Experience operating heavy-duty commercial vehicles preferred
  • Previous experience in:
    • Ready-mix concrete delivery
    • Construction trucking
    • Dump trucks
    • Roll-off trucks
    • Vacuum trucks
    • Sanitation or waste management vehicles
    • Heavy equipment operation
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, vehicle inspections, and construction site safety
  • Ability to work long shifts, overtime, and flexible schedules based on customer demand
  • Ability to lift, climb, bend, and work outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; Minimum (1) one of related experience and/or training preferred. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.

  • Hours based on customer and construction project needs
