Location Description

Our plant, located in Lansing, IL, pasteurizes raw eggs to remove harmful bacteria for a more safe product to the foodservice industry.


Responsibilities

Pasteurizer Machine Operators are responsible for checking egg temps, machine speeds, tank levels and leaks. This position is also responsible for keeping machines running efficiently and accurately documenting and reporting data.  Monitors machines and ensures they are running efficiently, within range for temperatures, speed and tank levels, no leaks and full of eggs. Responsible for minor adjustments of equipment and troubleshooting equipment problems. Communicates machine or product issues to production management and/or maintenance.  Performs quality check on in-coming raw egg and finished product.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understands the cross contamination and mitigation steps for the area, all grades of eggs.
  • Completes required documentation accurately and timely.
  • Follows SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) guidelines.
  • Keeps area and equipment clean using sanitation procedures.
  • Accurately programs, tracks and reports out of Data Trace readings per HACCP requirements.
  • Communicates effectively with operators to control egg flows.
  • Adheres to safe work practices, follows GMP’s, maintains sanitary conditions and ensures that product quality is maintained. Reports to management if any conditions or practices may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
  • Able to perform other duties as assigned.
