Position: Concierge
Location: Boca Raton, FL
Schedule: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $18 - $23/hour

Join Our Team as a Concierge

Yamato Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a friendly, compassionate, and detail-oriented Concierge to join our team. In this vital role, you will serve as the welcoming face of our facility—creating a warm, supportive, and seamless experience for Residents and their families from admission through discharge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Admissions Department to coordinate new admissions and communicate equipment needs (beds, oxygen, etc.) to nursing staff

  • Prepare rooms for incoming Residents by ensuring:

    • Previous belongings are packed and removed

    • Terminal cleaning is completed

    • Beds are made and call bells, lights, and TVs are functioning properly

  • Assemble and deliver welcome baskets for new Residents

  • Greet and escort Residents from the lobby to their rooms, creating a positive first impression

  • Build meaningful relationships with Residents and families by providing ongoing support and assistance

  • Respond to call bells within scope and notify nursing staff when additional care is needed

  • Address Resident concerns and complaints in accordance with the grievance process

  • Assist with room transitions, including short-term rehabilitation to long-term care

  • Complete Concierge follow-up documentation within 48 hours of admission and prior to discharge

  • Provide facility tours during off-hours or when Admissions staff are unavailable

  • Submit daily progress reports to leadership, identifying trends or concerns

  • Coordinate with laundry services for the return of stored belongings

  • Prepare and distribute discharge gift bags

  • Monitor and coordinate Resident smoking schedules

  • Attend in-service trainings, Resident Council meetings, and required staff meetings

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Administrator

Qualifications
  • Prior customer service experience required

  • Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Rehabilitation setting, or Assisted Living Facility (ALF) preferred

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Compassionate and professional demeanor with a commitment to exceptional service
