A&E Real Estate was founded in 2011 to invest in multifamily properties in the New York City Metropolitan area with a focus on workforce housing. A&E acquires, operates, improves and manages the properties, and currently owns approximately 12,000 apartments in New York City.


Physical Demands of the Superintendent, Handyman, Concierge, Doorman, & Porter Positions


  • The positions involve working on a site where duties will be performed both indoors and out.
  • Employees are regularly required to stand and walk.
  • Use of hands to finger, handle or feel; reaching with hands and arms.
  • Climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouching or crawling as well as sitting
  • Must be able to lift and or move upwards of 50lbs
  • While performing duties on the job, the employees are regularly exposed to wet and or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high heat, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, extreme cold and heat.
  • The employees are occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electric shock and risk of vibration.
  • The noise levels in the work environments are usually loud (boiler rooms/mechanical rooms).
  • Use and carry equipment and tool to and from apartments
  • Push and pull carts and dollies to load and unload garbage materials, etc
  • Sudden and quick moves is also needed to be perform the job.
