CAD Detailer
JRT Mechanical is currently seeking an experienced HVAC CAD Detailer.  JRT is a mid-sized full service Mechanical Contractor located in Battle Ground, Washington.  This position is an on-site position and will work in our office Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm.  This is not a remote position.  JRT is a company that values it's employees who embrace our core values of honesty, positivity, loyalty and drive.  If you feel this may be a fit, we'd love to hear from you.
Job Description:
The CAD Detailer will be responsible for drafting HVAC drawings, coordinating, modeling, and creating shop drawings for our HVAC projects utilizing Revit. Our projects are commercial and industrial in private, public and federal sectors. Duties will include:

  • Create 3D HVAC BIM models and shop drawings to a high level of accuracy using contract drawings
  • Develop and create shop drawings showing sections, tags, and details
  • Print or plot plans and shop drawings for the team
  • Run clash detection to coordinate and resolve issues
  • Coordinate with the entire BIM team to create an accurate and successful model
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and Foreman to track and capture changes and costs
  • Attend meetings with other contractors and project designers for coordination
  • Track project changes and RFI's and update model accordingly
  • Create equipment models and details
  • Create and update as-built or red-line drawing
  • Utilize Navisworks to collaborate with the project teams
  • Build excellent professional relationships with contractors, subs, and customers
  • Continually update "best practices" for BIM

 Required Skills:
  • Strong HVAC Background
  • Can Understand and Read HVAC Plans and Specs
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Experience with Evolve Mechanical in Revit is preferred
  • Bluebeam experience is desired
  • Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Loyal, Honest, Positive, & Driven
  • Experience with the following software is desired; Stratus, Navisworks, ACC, Evolve and CAD/FAB MEP
