FULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a Vision Software Engineer to design, develop, test, integrate, and deploy machine vision software for high-throughput semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This permanent, onsite role supports device alignment, identification, inspection, defect detection, machine vision algorithms, imaging hardware integration, production diagnostics, and factory support. The ideal candidate will have strong C++ experience, hands-on machine vision software development experience, image-processing algorithm knowledge, and a practical understanding of cameras, lenses, LED illumination, lasers, optics, and hardware troubleshooting.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing, developing, and deploying machine vision software for high-throughput semiconductor manufacturing equipment
  • Supporting machine vision software used for device alignment, identification, inspection, and defect detection
  • Contributing to design, testing, and integration across the full project lifecycle
  • Delivering production-ready vision capabilities
  • Researching and developing scalable computer vision solutions
  • Supporting 2D and 3D imaging, camera calibration, object detection, image processing, segmentation, metrology, alignment, and identification
  • Engineering vision solutions for automated test handlers and quality inspection equipment
  • Designing, implementing, and deploying full-stack machine vision and image-based software solutions
  • Working with C++, C#, .NET, and Python as needed
  • Using image-processing libraries such as OpenCV or similar tools
  • Writing new algorithms and customizing existing library-based tools as needed
  • Integrating and validating vision hardware, including industrial cameras, lenses, LED illumination, lasers, sensors, and related components
  • Selecting or supporting selection of appropriate camera, lighting, optics, and hardware components for machine vision applications
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software interactions related to imaging and vision systems
  • Collaborating with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and software engineering teams
  • Supporting integration and validation of vision solutions within semiconductor test and inspection equipment
  • Providing production support for the test floor and manufacturing teams
  • Troubleshooting vision issues, analyzing logs and images, and implementing corrective improvements
  • Supporting NPI and current product line growth
  • Interfacing with customers and sales on projects as required
  • Providing work leadership or training to lower-level professional employees as needed
  • Performing other duties as assigned

The selected candidate will also possess:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Science, or related field required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience developing machine vision software in industrial environments required
  • 5+ years of machine vision software development experience preferred
  • Strong hands-on C++ experience required
  • C#/.NET Windows desktop development experience preferred
  • WPF experience preferred
  • Visual Studio experience preferred
  • Git-based source control experience preferred
  • Experience developing machine vision or image-processing algorithms required

  • Object-oriented design experience preferred
  • Full software development lifecycle experience preferred
