Work Schedule: 8 Hr (9:00:00 AM - 5:30:00 PM)

Pay Range: $17.63 - $24.91 per hour
Rush salaries are determined by many factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related experience and skills, as well as internal equity and industry specific market data. The pay range for each role reflects Rush’s anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position. Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case.

Job Summary:
The Research Assistant is responsible for collecting information according to the research study protocols. The Research Assistant conducts assessments and collect data and/or biological samples from research studies. In addition, the Research Assistant assists in writing a variety of reports and publications. The individual who holds this position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Required Job Qualifications:
•High school diploma/GED required.
•Entry level proficiency in Microsoft Office, including spreadsheets and databases.
•Detail oriented with high attention to accuracy.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to develop rapport with a diverse pool of research participants.
•Ability to navigate sensitive topics and maintain confidentiality of participants.
•Ability to collaborate within multi-disciplinary team settings.
•May require 6-8 weeks training depending on study protocols.
•Availability to work evenings, overnight and weekends if called for under the study protocols.
•May require personal transportation to field location.

Job Responsibilities:
•Recruits, screens, and schedules potential study participants.
•Writes and creates assessments utilizing standard research protocol.
•Assists in grant proposal writing.
•Assists in communications with researchers and members of the research community.
•Arranges and conducts experiments for research study, including explaining the goals of the study and arranging for the evaluation.
•Follows up by phone, email, and email with research colleagues.
•Participates in the preparation and delivery of presentations to disseminate study findings.
•Analyzes data and drafts data reports, manuscripts, and presentations.
•Utilizes approved procedures.
•Administers involved, systematic tests including the assessment and/or response.
•Helps maintain study procedure documentation.
•Prepares study related materials.
•Assists with data entry, cleaning, and guided analysis.
•Monitors experiments as required by study protocol.
•Maintains supply inventory.
•May utilize study-related devices and equipment as part of assessment procedures.
•Maintains study records and edits for completeness and accuracy.
•Attends regular team meetings.
•Troubleshoots field issues when necessary.
•Uses discretion to resolve issues when unplanned events arise.
