Motion in Mind Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting while also maintaining a collaborative outpatient practice atmosphere. Our remote work environment is designed to ensure that counselors can effectively engage with clients through telehealth platforms. You will have access to necessary resources and technology tools, including electronic health record (EHR) systems, to streamline your workflow and maintain organized client records.

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients’ mental health status during initial and ongoing sessions.
• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans grounded in evidence-based practices specific to their unique needs.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions utilizing culturally responsive techniques to engage diverse populations effectively.
• Regularly monitor and document clients’ progress, providing feedback and adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
• Offer referrals to other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, when clients require additional support.
• Maintain professional standards, including compliance with ethical guidelines, client confidentiality, and proper record-keeping.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client cases and collaborate on treatment plans, promoting comprehensive care.

Your diverse clientele will include adults and adolescents facing various mental health issues. You’ll work closely with patients coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and more. An emphasis is placed on culturally competent care, ensuring that therapy meets the unique backgrounds and experiences of each individual. As a counselor, you will play a crucial role in improving clients’ coping strategies and fostering resilience.

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current, valid license in the state of Virginia as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.
• Minimum of four years of experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating a deep understanding of various mental health disorders.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster strong relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications relevant to healthcare delivery.

• Demonstrated experience in both individual and group therapy settings.
• Strong background in crisis intervention skills and the ability to remain calm in challenging scenarios.
• Familiarity with a wide range of evidence-based treatment modalities and therapeutic techniques.
• Experience in collaborative programming with other mental health and social services providers.

The starting salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
