• Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to formulate individualized treatment plans that respect the unique experiences of each patient.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the diverse cultural backgrounds and personal histories of patients, ensuring effective treatment.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, addressing various mental health concerns while encouraging resilience and promoting holistic well-being.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive and coordinated approach to care.
• Provide crisis intervention services for patients experiencing acute mental health emergencies, leveraging strong de-escalation skills.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and local community resources to foster better understanding and support.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, assessments, and treatment progress in adherence to legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing cultural competency training to enhance service delivery.
• Stay updated with current research, best practices, and emerging trends in mental health therapy to continuously improve the quality of care provided.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will engage with clients from varied backgrounds, adapting your therapeutic approach to meet their distinct cultural perspectives and mental health needs. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our patients receive personalized care that acknowledges and respects their unique experiences.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a current and valid license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment methodologies, and the integration of cultural competence in therapeutic practices.
• Demonstrated experience providing individual and group therapy, with a proven ability to apply culturally responsive approaches.
• Strong crisis intervention skills, enabling effective support during high-stress situations.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with a diverse clientele.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer proficiency.
• A commitment to uphold professional ethics, maintain confidentiality, and establish healthy boundaries in client relationships.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to enhance client outcomes and service delivery.

• Experience working in multicultural settings and previous roles related to community mental health services.
