Bright Minds Crisis Intervention Clinic is actively seeking a dedicated and empathetic licensed mental health counselor, holding qualifications as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW, to join our growing team. As a full-time member of our remote practice, you will play a vital role in delivering effective mental health care to individuals coping with the impacts of trauma.

Located in Chicago, Illinois, Bright Minds Crisis Intervention Clinic is committed to providing high-quality outpatient mental health services to a diverse community. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while maintaining a strong connection with our clinical team. You will be provided with the necessary technology and resources to ensure effective therapy sessions and collaboration with your peers. • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to understand each patient’s trauma history and clarify their needs for appropriate treatment.
• Design and implement tailored treatment plans that focus on recovery and resilience, utilizing evidence-based practices including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients through their trauma recovery journeys while helping them develop effective coping strategies.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to offer integrated patient care that ensures continuity and relevance of support.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention in situations of trauma, ensuring that patients receive timely and appropriate support during emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms, empowering them with knowledge and resources to aid in their recovery.
• Ensure precise and confidential recordkeeping in compliance with both legal and ethical standards, using our electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.
• Actively participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development to enhance your understanding of trauma-informed practices.
• Stay abreast of current research and innovative methodologies in trauma therapy, integrating new insights into your therapeutic approach.

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to military veterans, survivors of domestic violence, and individuals recovering from severe mental health conditions. Your expertise will enable you to create safe spaces that promote healing and foster resilience, helping patients reclaim their lives and achieve their personal goals.

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Possession of a current and valid state licensure as LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT is mandatory.
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment methodologies is essential.
• Proficiency in delivering trauma-focused therapy and interventions.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating compassion and a non-judgmental approach.
• Ability to manage high-stress situations with composure is critical.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

While two years of post-licensure experience is required, candidates with experience in trauma-focused therapeutic interventions and a background in community mental health settings will be given preference. Exposure to group therapy facilitation and crisis intervention will enhance your application.

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 110,000 per year, reflecting your experience and expertise in the field. In addition to financial compensation, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
