Job description

We're seeking a hands-on lab technician to support advanced research in our Tempe, AZ lab. You'll work with cutting-edge camera systems, experimental setups, and embedded computing platforms for next-generation vision applications. This role requires practical engineering skills and a collaborative mindset to help push the boundaries of real-time perception systems.
What You'll Do:
  • Set up and maintain experimental hardware platforms for computer vision research
  • Design, fabricate, and 3D print custom components and fixtures
  • Assemble electronics, including soldering and wiring of camera systems
  • Configure and program single-board computers (SBCs) for data acquisition
  • Assist with calibration and testing of various camera systems
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on integration tasks
  • Document experimental procedures and results

What We're Looking For:
  • Background in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering
  • Hands-on experience with electronic components, soldering, and breadboarding
  • Proficiency with 3D modeling and 3D printing technologies
  • Experience configuring and programming single-board computers

  • Programming skills in C, C++, Python, or similar languages
