Job description

The CADย Technician II supports the engineering team by producingย accurateย and detailed technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software. This role involves preparing plans, layouts, and schematics based on engineering specifications and design requirements for gas distribution or transmission projects. The CAD Technicianย IIIย ensures that all drawingsย comply withย relevant standards, codes, and client expectations. Collaboration with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders is essential to revise andย finalizeย designs,ย maintainย documentation, and contribute to efficient project execution.ย 
What you will do:
  • Perform intermediate to complex CAD work
  • Final quality control reviews
  • Work with engineers and clients to resolve issues
  • Reading and understanding client standards and specifications, other project related documents and meeting their requirements
  • Data and document entry into various platforms
  • Scanning, copying, and filing documents
  • Reporting safety, health, and quality issues to managementโ€ฏ
  • Assist management on special projects as directed
  • Other duties as assigned
Who you are:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate's degreeโ€ฏpreferred
  • Experience working in the natural gas industry is preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of CAD experience in an engineering or construction discipline
  • Microstation and AutoCAD experience requiredโ€ฏโ€ฏ
  • Knowledge of civil design workโ€ฏย 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and relevant project management softwareโ€ฏโ€ฏย
