Job description

Job Requirements

The Senior Project & Commissioning Engineer is a technical subject matter expert and responsible for managing an RNG plant start-up from SAT through full commissioning and operational acceptance. This individual will be both customer and internal facing and will coordinate activity of all parties to meet start up and operational requirements in a timely and cost-efficient manner, including providing leadership and coaching to Engineers and Technicians. This position will also be responsible for individual skid and Balance of Plant controls support.


Work Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience required.
  • 7-10 years of experience with RNG plants in both landfill and biogas settings and/or gas compression and separation equipment and processes in related industries.
  • Experience with RNG equipment design, manufacturing, testing, and startup, including demonstrated experience with full plant operation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills - ability to "think on your feet" and resolve issues in the field in real time.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills and mindset; ability to balance competing interests of customers, contractors, vendors and other parties.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work collaboratively with other project managers, engineers, and trades.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office. CAD experience a plus.
  • Project management skills (PMP a plus).
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
  • Able to travel nationwide up to 50%+, including multiple weeks on site as required.
