Job description

Job Summary:
Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is at the forefront of building advanced computer vision systems for Snapdragon-powered devices. The Computer Vision Architect will lead the design and implementation of computer vision features, support engineering teams in deploying CV APIs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and implementation of computer vision features and on-device prototyping using the Snapdragon Vision API solution.
• Support engineering teams in building, integrating, and deploying CV APIs for commercial products.
• Develop clear and thorough technical documentation, diagrams, and sample materials that showcase the capabilities of the Snapdragon Vision API for end‑application developers.
• Ensure deliverables meet schedule expectations and KPI targets, proactively identifying and addressing risks.
• Collaborate closely with system, software, hardware, and product teams throughout CV feature prototyping and commercialization.
• Contribute effectively in a fast‑paced, highly collaborative environment with distributed cross‑functional teams.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience developing computer vision applications or libraries.
• Strong understanding of CV concepts, algorithms, and deep‑learning‑based vision pipelines, with a track record of delivering commercial CV solutions.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing products using vision APIs, following established standards and best practices.
• Strong coding and debugging skills in C/C++ and Python, with the ability to rapidly prototype and evaluate CV features on device.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
• OR Master’s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
• OR PhD in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
Preferred:
• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience with CV and ML libraries such as OpenCV, TensorFlow, and PyTorch (TorchVision), including image processing and deep learning workflows.
• Working knowledge of embedded systems and architectures, especially hardware CV accelerators.
• Experience producing high‑quality API documentation and technical materials.
• Familiarity with commercial software development practices and SDLC methodologies.
