Job description

Role Summary 

The Data Entry Technician is responsible for providing excellent customer service on the phones with our customers and providers and for the accurate and timely prescription data entry of compounded preparations based off patient specific prescriptions.

 

Job Activities and Responsibilities: The responsibilities listed below are subject to change.

  • Data Entry Technician shall ensure accuracy of patient information and receive patient payment
  • Checking prescriptions for completeness and entering necessary information into the computer to generate a prescription label and invoices (if necessary)
  • Communicating with prescribers to receive refill authorization receiving patient refills by telephone, directing calls or taking and relaying messages
  • Technician shall work under the supervision of a pharmacist
  • Employee’s departmental manager has the latitude to direct work in any department that hinges on company needs.
  • Maintaining an organized and efficient workspace
  • Excellent customer service skills providing each patient with an exceptional experience. 

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements 


  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT, ExCPT) licensed in WA State with no license restrictions preferred.
  • Excellent work ethic, including a personal drive to excel independently.
  • Solid PC skills including Microsoft software and pharmacy management systems. 
  • Certified Technician is preferred, will consider pharmacy assistant with the right level of previous experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with processing credit card transactions
  • Familiarity with windows and Office programs
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to use a computer keyboard, fax machine, printer, communicate clearly by telephone.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods 
  • Fine Motor Skills 
  • Visual acuity
