Job description

SUMMARY:


The Computer Technician will perform daily assigned individual and team tasks in a large Government facility providing facilities, networking, cabling, material installation and removal, inventory management, audit and drawing package support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Experience shall include interpersonal oral and written communications skills and experience in industry, Federal or DoD help desk support.
• Familiarity with logistics material and approved tracking and reporting processes.
• Familiarity with inventory and audit processes, asset management, and program Operating Materials and Supplies (OM&S) management.
• Familiarity with small and large mission essential procurement methods, processes and reporting.


EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSURE:


• A minimum of one (1) year experience or equivalent training in the area of facility technical operations and maintenance, copper cable and fiber optic installation, local area network (LAN) test equipment, workstation/personal computer installation, and testing of networks/electrical systems or equivalent training.
• Able to perform and oversee tasking of all facility operations and tasking.

• Experience in facility operations, basic network administration and data management, experience with installing and maintaining network switches, routers, fiber optic, coaxial and twisted-pair cable plants, associated software, voice, video and data networks (VTC).
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
• Must have a DOD Secret security clearance and have or be able to obtain an SSBI.
