Key Responsibilities:
- Acting as the first responder in our IT team that supports our Windows Hosted Desktops.
- Managing the "Techteam" support group, prioritizing several open cases at one time
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, operating systems and applications
- Talking staff/clients through a series of actions, either in person or over the telephone
- Troubleshooting system and network problems.
- Diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults
- Providing computer support, including procedural documentation
- Following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
- Working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
- Building successful relationships with end-users
- Assist with testing, evaluating and rolling out new technology
Minimum requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in information technology, computer science, or a related field
- Working knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications
- Clear, patient communication skills, with the ability to explain technical steps to non-technical staff in person, by phone, or over Teams
- Ability to manage multiple open support requests and prioritize competing needs
- Self-motivated and reliable, with a collaborative, "can-do" approach to problem solving
