Job description

Description The IT Systems Support Specialist provides hands-on technical support to government customers in a secure, classified environment. This position supports end users, computer systems, printers, VoIP telephones, video teleconferencing systems, user accounts, permissions, cybersecurity activities, and IT asset management. The successful candidate will combine strong technical skills with excellent customer service. They will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, assist users with technology-related needs, maintain accurate equipment records and documentation, and ensure that support activities comply with established government and program procedures. Key Responsibilities and Systems Supported * Provide first-level technical support to government end users in a secure, classified environment.
* Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, printers, peripherals, VoIP telephones, video teleconferencing equipment, telecommunications systems, and classified computer systems.
* Troubleshoot software, user accounts, permissions, network connectivity, and access requests.
* Support ISSO and Cybersecurity Liaison activities, including required documentation and access records.
* Maintain IT asset inventory, equipment assignments, and supporting records in accordance with government and contract requirements.
* Document incidents and resolutions in ticketing systems and support Microsoft Office and other authorized applications.
* Provide user training, communicate clearly with customers, and coordinate technical issues with IT personnel, government customers, and vendors.
* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements * High school diploma or equivalent.
* Three or more years of experience supporting classified government computer systems or providing IT customer service.
* Security+ certification or an equivalent DoD 8140-approved certification.
* Experience troubleshooting computers, software, printers, VoIP, video teleconferencing equipment, and basic network connectivity.
* Strong customer service, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently in a secure environment and maintain an active Secret clearance.Preferred Qualifications * Experience using government IT asset management or inventory systems.
* Experience directly supporting government customers or federal programs.
* Experience with account and permissions management in a government or enterprise IT environment.
* Experience supporting classified networks, systems, or facilities.
