At GHSP, our Systems Engineering Manager serves as the technical leader for complex mechatronic product development, bringing together hardware, software, electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering to deliver innovative solutions for global automotive customers. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll define system architecture, guide engineering decisions, mentor a talented team, and help ensure our products exceed customer expectations from concept through launch.

This position can be based at our Holland, Michigan corporate headquarters or our facility in Novi, Michigan.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and develop a team of Systems Engineers, providing technical direction, coaching, and mentorship.
  • Serve as the technical leader for complex product development programs from concept through production.
  • Translate customer needs into clear, traceable system requirements and high-level system architectures.
  • Partner directly with customers to understand technical requirements, communicate design decisions, and resolve engineering challenges.
  • Guide cross-functional teams through system integration, interface management, verification, and technical problem solving.
  • Proactively identify technical risks and drive solutions before they become program issues.
  • Collaborate across engineering disciplines to ensure products meet performance, quality, manufacturability, and customer expectations.
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, continuous improvement, and strong engineering practices.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • 7+ years of product development experience.
  • 7+ years developing mechatronic products and/or systems.
  • Previous engineering leadership or technical leadership experience.
