Systems Engineer

You'll develop your skills in solution architecture, modeling, and requirements generation while gaining experience in the space industry. You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience in systems engineering, including design, modeling, integration, testing, and software development lifecycle on space ground, software, and hardware systems

  • Experience using Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively on cross-functional team as well as independently

  • Ability to demonstrate initiative to complete complex tasks to achieve program goals in a fast-paced environment

  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience identifying, analyzing, and proposing space systems or ground systems CONOPS, risks, issues, opportunities, and mitigating handling plans

  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes and tools for managing system definitions, technical baselines, and developing digital MBSE models

  • Experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML) or Systems Modeling Language (SysML)

  • Knowledge of Cloud engineering or architecture, DevOps and DevSecOps, communication and network architectures, space system operations and tasking, mission planning, or space-ground integration

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and interact with clients

  • Ability to facilitate written or verbal presentation of strategic or analytical findings

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science specializing in Systems Engineering

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
