Position Summary
The IT Business Systems Analyst serves as a liaison between business departments and IT, translating business requirements into technical solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, reporting, and overall business performance. This role analyzes business needs, troubleshoots application issues, analyzing data for reporting and data accuracy, and helps improve systems, workflows, and user experience.
The ideal candidate has strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, business process knowledge, data analytics and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary IT support resource for assigned business groups and applications.
  • Support the daily operations, stability, and performance of business-critical IT applications.
  • Respond to user issues, troubleshoot application problems, document root causes, and coordinate resolution with IT teams, vendors, or business stakeholders.
  • Perform system configuration, testing, upgrades, access support, data validation, and general application maintenance.
  • Partner with business users to understand operational needs, process gaps, reporting issues, and system improvement opportunities.
  • Develop, support, and enhance Power BI dashboards, SSRS reports, SharePoint solutions, SQL queries, automation workflows, and custom applications.
  • Analyze data, reporting needs, workflows, integrations, and system performance to recommend practical improvements.
  • Support system integrations, automation initiatives, and data accuracy improvements.
  • Create and maintain support documentation, process flows, user guides, configuration notes, test plans, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Train end users on systems, reports, features, and business processes.
  • Ensure assigned systems comply with company policies, security standards, and data governance practices.
  • Research and evaluate relevant technologies, including Power Automate, Blazor, Azure-hosted applications, and advanced Power BI analytics.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, IT Analyst, ERP Analyst, Application Analyst, or similar role.
  • Experience supporting day-to-day operations of business applications or enterprise systems.
  • Strong understanding of business processes, enterprise applications, and application support.
  • Experience supporting ERP, CRM, reporting, financial, manufacturing, supply chain, or operational systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with ticketing systems, project tracking tools, or documentation platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of SQL, databases, reporting tools, or business intelligence platforms.
  • Experience with Power BI, SSRS, or similar reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, distribution, finance, procurement, inventory, or supply chain operations.
  • Understanding system integrations, APIs, EDI, data mapping, or workflow automation.
