Description
CERTEX USA is searching for an experienced IT Systems Analyst II in the Houston, TX area to join our Team!
Position Overview
The IT Analyst II is a senior technical contributor supporting enterprise IT operations across Ascent Lifting. Based in our Houston office, this role serves as a tier-2 escalation point, project contributor, and technical mentor to the analyst team. It is a hands-on individual-contributor position - no direct reports - focused on resolving complex issues, advancing infrastructure and security initiatives, and helping mature IT as we transition support fully in-house.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary tier-2 escalation point for endpoint, identity, M365, and connectivity issues that exceed tier-1 scope; own resolution end to end.
  • Administer the hybrid Active Directory / Microsoft Entra environment across multiple domains - identity lifecycle, group policy, and conditional access.
  • Support and help administer endpoint security tooling (Huntress, SentinelOne) and Microsoft Defender for Office 365 security policies.
  • Manage endpoint deployment, imaging, and policy enforcement via NinjaOne RMM.
  • Support network infrastructure - SonicWall firewalls, Cambium wireless, and branch connectivity troubleshooting - applying intermediate networking knowledge.
  • Administer HaloITSM ticketing and maintain Hudu documentation.
  • Serve as a technical mentor to tier-1 analysts, without formal management authority.
  • Contribute to infrastructure and security projects as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of IT support/analyst experience in a multi-site enterprise environment.
  • Hands-on Active Directory / Microsoft Entra administration experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, security and compliance).
  • Familiarity with EDR/security tooling (Huntress, SentinelOne, or comparable).
  • Advanced networking knowledge - firewalls, switches, wireless, VPN, and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Experience with RMM tools (NinjaOne or comparable).
  • Familiarity with secure email or ICES tooling (Abnormal, Defender ATP, IRONSCALES, or comparable).
  • Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant certifications (AZ-104, Security+, Network+, or similar).
  • Experience with HaloITSM, Hudu, or comparable ITSM/documentation tools.
  • Background with Microsoft Azure Infrastructure.
  • Experience identifying and responding to phishing, business email compromise, or adversary-in-the-middle attacks a plus.
  • Experience supporting VoIP phone systems (3CX or comparable).

Education and Experience
  • 3-5+ years of IT support/analyst experience in a multi-site enterprise environment.
  • Hands-on Active Directory / Microsoft Entra administration experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, security and compliance).
  • Familiarity with EDR/security tooling (Huntress, SentinelOne, or comparable).

Working Conditions, Hours, Travel
  • Most work is performed in an office/warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets.
  • This is a full-time position. The standard hours of work are Monday through Friday, 40 hours
  • per week.
  • Travel to visit customers within in region as well as occasional travel for meetings or training
  • outside the region is expected for this position

Physical Requirements
  • On-site at the Houston office, supporting a distributed branch footprint. Occasional travel to branches may be required.
  • Regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15lbs.
  • Requires the visual ability to perform detailed work at close distances (computer screens, accounting ledgers, using measurement devices).
  • This job regularly requires verbal communication of detailed information to others either by phone or in person.
  • Must be able to speak and read the English language.
