Job description

Job Title: Sr. Systems Analyst
Location: Nevada City, CA - 95959 (Fully Onsite)
Duration: Fulltime/Permanent

Shift:
Standard hours: 8am 5pm or 7am 4pm; flexible options available.
Additional schedule options offered after three months. Like a 9/80 schedule.
On call rotation required.

Note:
Future hybrid schedule: 1 2 remote days per week, after 3-6 months of satisfactory service
Valid driver s license required

Role Overview:
The Senior Systems Analyst is the advanced journey level of the series, able to work independently or as a team lead in performing the most complex and difficult assignments and serves as an escalation resource for other team members. Provides a wide variety of professional and technical support to Client's staff. Incumbents may supervise, conduct training, and provide lead direction to others. Assignments at this level require full proficiency in two or more system elements such as Windows Server, VMware, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 (including Exchange Online), email administration, database administration, and PowerShell scripting.

TECH THEY LL BE WORKING WITH:
This role is heavily centered around VMware, Windows Server/Active Directory, Azure/M365, and identity management (Entra ID, SSO), with additional exposure to SAN storage, endpoint tools (SCCM/Intune), and infrastructure security.

Education and Experience Required:
Equivalent to completion of two years of college level work in computer science or a closely related field, including coursework in techniques of systems analysis; and two years of journey level experience performing system user support at a level equivalent to Company s classification of System Analyst II.

Knowledge and Skills Required Knowledge in:
Project planning and management techniques.
PC and server operating systems, including Windows Server and Linux.
VMware virtualization, including host and VM administration.
Active Directory, Group Policy, identity management, and authentication concepts.
Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and security/compliance features.
Techniques, equipment, and diagnostic software used in the assembly, troubleshooting, and repair of computer systems.
Server configuration and administration for large scale and complex systems.
PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
Techniques for explaining technical concepts to non technical users.
Principles and practices of effective supervision, work planning, evaluation, and training.
Analytical techniques for documenting user department requirements and translating them into hardware and software specifications.
