Test Engineering (QA) Manager
Location: Norcross, GA
Work Schedule: Hybrid (In-office every Tuesday and Wednesday) Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Test Engineering (QA) Manager to lead quality engineering, testing, release, and documentation efforts across the software development lifecycle. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, driving an automation-first quality strategy and ensuring the delivery of reliable, scalable, and high-quality software products.

The ideal candidate will work closely with Engineering, Product, DevOps, Systems Integration, and Support teams in an Agile environment to improve software quality, optimize testing processes, and ensure successful product releases.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Test Engineering, or related roles.
  • Proven experience leading QA teams and managing software testing and release activities.
  • Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks and test scripts.
  • Strong expertise in manual, automated, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • Experience implementing automation-first and shift-left testing strategies.
  • Strong understanding of Quality KPIs, metrics, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum environments and participating in Agile ceremonies.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
  • Experience managing physical and virtual test environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across software applications, integrations, and test environments.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with .NET/C# enterprise applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SCADA systems, industrial automation, liquid management, accounting systems, or hardware-integrated applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, C#, Java, SQL Server, Cucumber, and related testing frameworks.
  • Experience with API testing, integration testing, and enterprise system validation.
  • Familiarity with Windows Services, WCF, IIS, and Windows-based enterprise environments.
  • Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and cloud-based testing environments.
  • Familiarity with Jira, release management workflows, and defect tracking tools.
  • Exposure to distributed, on-premises, and hybrid system architectures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage QA, testing, release, and documentation activities across software release cycles.
  • Manage and mentor QA team members through coaching, performance management, and resource planning.
  • Serve as a hands-on technical leader contributing to complex test automation and quality initiatives.
  • Define and execute quality engineering strategies, including automation-first and shift-left testing practices.
  • Develop test plans, oversee defect management, validate release readiness, and ensure product quality.
  • Track, analyze, and report quality metrics and KPIs to leadership teams.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, DevOps, Systems Integration, and Support teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Support documentation efforts, including release notes, user guides, online help, and other customer-facing materials.
  • Partner with development and DevOps teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines, test environments, and deployment processes.
  • Provide project estimates, technical input, and quality guidance throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Investigate and resolve complex issues related to applications, integrations, and testing environments.
