tms is seeking an intern to support the North America Procurement team from our headquarters located in downtown Chicago's Fulton Market.  The team this intern will report to is a group of "team first" problem solvers responsible for Strategic Sourcing and Supply Chain Operations in packaging for the Quick Service and Causal Dining Restaurant Industry. Be ready to support our fast-paced business, while working both independently and as part of cross-functional teams including Supply Chain Analytics, Strategic Sourcing, Sourcing Operations, Quality, Graphics & Sustainability.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE 

Reporting & Analytics

  • Support with monthly Capacity & Contingency Planning reporting across Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Provide weekly recap summaries from HAVI promotional category meetings.
  • Support with areas of Supply Chain opportunities to be supported by A.I. efficiencies

Contingency & Capacity Planning

  • Support identification, onboarding, and documentation of contingency/backup suppliers.
  • Maintain a "ready-to-activate" supplier list (capacity, lead times, MOQs, certifications, etc.).
  • Keep contingency supplier data current to enable rapid pivoting during disruptions.

Supplier & Master Data Management

  • Maintain supplier master data: contacts, locations, certifications, lead times, capacities.
  • Identify and flag missing, outdated, or inconsistent supplier data.
  • Create and maintain a master matrix of various contract types includes Non-disclosure Agreements, Business Relationship Agreements, and Business Awards

 

 EDI & PO Compliance

  • Monitor weekly supplier EDI submissions on core items and escalate recurring noncompliance and identify recurring issues to summarize trends for internal reviews.
  • Coordinate with Sourcing Operations regarding supplier noncompliance.

Internal Coordination & Project Support

  • Support category leads in updating Category Overview OnePagers for 1H 2026, incorporating latest S2C-driven changes (suppliers, tiers, market share, cost index, capacity, etc.).

Supply Chain Risk Management

  • Support Global Supply Chain Risk Assessment efforts by mapping suppliers, mills, and raw material flows.
  • Help evaluate system impact from potential supplier or mill disruptions.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage mills or suppliers for new sourcing strategies.

 

Would like for you to have: 

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Business relevant field
  • Prefer a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Demonstrated time management skills through course work and extracurricular activities
  • MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Collaborative/teamwork oriented
