NEW ENGLAND LAND SURVEY INC (NELS) is growing, and we’re looking for a motivated CAD Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with experienced surveyors, CAD technicians, and project managers to create high-quality survey drawings that help bring projects to life.

What You’ll Do
- Â Create and revise detailed CAD drawings from survey field data and project specificationsÂ
- Â Collaborate with surveyors, CAD staff, and project managers to deliver accurate and efficient project resultsÂ
- Â Perform quality control reviews to maintain company and industry standardsÂ
- Â Assist in preparing survey plans, documents, and client deliverablesÂ
- Â Utilize industry-standard software including Carlson Survey Software, AutoCAD, and Civil 3DÂ
- Â Maintain organized digital project files and documentationÂ
- Â Stay current with evolving CAD and surveying technologiesÂ
- Â Support project coordination and planning as neededÂ
What We’re Looking For
- Â Associate degree or certification in CAD, drafting, or a related fieldÂ
- Â Experience with CAD drafting/design (land surveying experience preferred)Â
- Â Proficiency in Carlson Survey Software, AutoCAD and Civil 3DÂ
- Â Strong attention to detail and ability to work independentlyÂ
- Â Excellent communication and teamwork skillsÂ
- Â Knowledge of surveying principles is a plusÂ
- Â Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficientlyÂ
-  Valid driver’s license and reliable transportationÂ

Position Details
- On-site/In-Office Position
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PMÂ
Training is paid at an hourly rate discussed during the interview process. After training, this position transitions to a piecework compensation structure with earning potential of $12–$24+ per drawing completed.
