Position Summary:
The Operations Specialist position is primarily responsible for sending, receiving and processing wire transfers in addition to processing non-post and NSF return items on a daily basis. The Operations Specialist prepares, processes, and maintains documentation related to these duties and prepares and enters GL entries to the on-line systems.
Essential Functions:
  1. Transmit Fed Wires, Foreign Exchange, Corporate Wires, On-line bank wires, standing orders and verifications for all wire transfers on date requested.
  2. Ensure proper personnel are notified of any incoming service message. Investigate and resolve all wire transfer problems within the required periods. Correspond with appropriate bank personnel as required and document action taken.
  3. Accurately facilitate payment instructions via Fed wire according to Regulation J, Article 4A and BSA with special attention to OFAC compliance and adhere to STC record keeping.
  4. Perform reconciliation of previous day's Fed line activities..
  5. Detect and assist in the investigation of fraudulent wire transfer.
  6. Assist branch customers with adjustments and customer research upon request.
  7. Process daily non-post items, Stop Pay and NSF Return items.
  8. Maintain and balance 945 tax withholding.
  9. Process cash orders, cash shipments, to ensure prompt delivery and pickup by the carriers to be delivered to Federal Reserve.
  10. Responsible for processing foreign items and returned mail.
  11. Confirm documentation for daily account maintenance requests in accordance with Deposit procedures, scan and/or file properly.
  12. Follow all other instructions and perform other job-related duties, at the discretion of the Deposit Operations management team.
  13. Responsible for processing levies, garnishments and bankruptcy requests.
  14. Responsible for processing branch capture work and for review of mobile and Merchant remote capture deposits.

Preferred Education/Experience/Software:
Must have either a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business Management or 4 years related related bank teller (debit/credit) field experience. Strong knowledge of the internet. Computer proficiency to help troubleshoot internet banking problems. Knowledgeable in a wide range of Microsoft Office software applications. Fiserv experience preferred.
Training:
Responsible for the timely completion of all required compliance training such has BSA, Information Security, and other job specific training as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
The responsibility to acquire and maintain the required knowledge of State and Federal Banking regulations and policies.
