Job description

Description

We are seeking an experienced IO&T / Sustainment Support Specialist to provide Initial Outfitting & Transition (IO&T) and facility sustainment support at Martin Army Community Hospital (MACH) at Fort Benning, Georgia, as well as designated outlying military medical clinics.

The specialist will work in support of the Facilities Management Division (FMD), coordinating clinical transition activities, facility outfitting, furniture and equipment installations, project schedules, inspections, and sustainment requirements.

This position is ideal for someone with previous experience supporting military healthcare facilities, hospitals, clinics, medical facility outfitting, facility logistics, or healthcare transition projects.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support Initial Outfitting & Transition (IO&T) and facility sustainment projects.
  • Coordinate clinical transition and installation schedules.
  • Oversee the planning, installation, and scheduling of furniture, furnishings, equipment, and related facility packages.
  • Coordinate with the Facilities Management Division, end users, vendors, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Monitor installations to ensure equipment and furnishings meet end-user requirements and established project timelines.
  • Perform quality-control inspections of installed furniture systems and related products.
  • Maintain project tracking packages and assist with space-management requirements.
  • Support planning for replacement and lifecycle requirements associated with clinical outfitting packages.
  • Attend pre-construction meetings, conference calls, and project coordination meetings.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors regarding installation timelines and schedules.
  • Participate in periodic coordination with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).
  • Support new facilities and major/minor Sustainment, Restoration & Modernization (SRM) projects.
  • Assist with furniture and furnishings replacement projects, artwork, graphics, and related facility requirements.
  • Support final turnover, closeout, relocation, warehousing, and transition activities as required.
Work Environment

Work will primarily be performed onsite at Martin Army Community Hospital at Fort Benning, GA. Support may include hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, laboratories, dental clinics, veterinary clinics, administrative facilities, training/classroom spaces, logistical facilities, and medical warehouses.

Periodic travel will be required to designated outlying clinics, including locations in Eglin AFB, FL; Anniston, GA; and Dahlonega, GA.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in one or more of the following:
    • Facility logistics
    • Transition planning
    • Project outfitting
  • Experience must have been gained within a military healthcare or clinical environment
  • Ability to travel periodically to designated outlying clinics
  • Valid driver's license and ability to perform required travel
  • Ability to obtain a CAC and favorable Tier 1/NACI determination
