Job description

We’re searching for a detail-oriented, imaginative CAD designer to serve as an onsite, in-house CAD designer for our growing fine jewelry retail store! Your job responsibilities will include collaborating with our designers to understand their ideal finished product and generating 3D designs using Jewelry CAD software (Matrix Gold, Matrix 9, Jewel Beetle) to bring those dreams to life.

You’ll also revise designs based on client feedback and clearly communicate updates about the team’s design process. Compensation:

$65,000 - $70,000 yearly


Responsibilities:
  • Build CAD designs as requested by clients and other jewelry design associates

  • Make changes as needed to designs to align with client aspirations

  • Print test and production models and clean in preparation for client approval or casting

  • Use project management software to update projects daily

  • Collaborate with design team

  • Consult with jewelers regarding design viability


Qualifications:
  • Highly attuned to detail and possesses excellent teamwork, organizational, and communication skills

  • At least 2 years of experience in CAD jewelry design in a company with high production. Ability to build 2-3 CAD designs per day

  • Ability to work directly with customers and other design associates to keep projects moving forward

  • Possess a firm grasp of the jewelry design industry as a whole and stay up-to-date on evolving trends
