Job description

Overview: Performs Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI.) Maintains knowledge of all equipment currently in use. Assist patients and physicians as needed. Keeps informed of new scanning techniques and new technology. Trains technical staff on protocols and post-processing techniques.

Qualifications: Age of Patients Served: All Age Groups. Required Education: High School Diploma or GED, and Vocational Training. Specific course work: Graduate from Radiologic Technology School. Preferred Education: Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology. Necessary Skills: 1. Knowledge of computer software and ability to troubleshoot. 2. Ability to provide physical and/or psychological support to patients. Required Licensure/Certifications: A.R.R.T. certification with Florida Radiographer License or ARMRIT certification MRI Certification within 12 months from the date of hire BLS Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) Required Experience: One to two years in computerized imaging, or graduate of a post-secondary MRI certification program. Preferred Experience: Less than 1 year Cardiac Imaging.
