Position Summary:
The CAD Designer will be responsible for the proper execution and timely completion of key assigned design projects to meet customer expectation. The CAD Designer will communicate all project activity to maintain the assigned project's required deadline. The CAD Designer will work alongside an assigned Project Manager, Design Center Manager and Sales Department. Tasks will include interpreting field drawings and creation of dimensional drawings. CAD Designer will also work within company's MRP system to ensure accuracy of all project deliverables.
Position Requirements:
The CAD Designer must have the following credentials:
A preferred two-year college degree in an engineering technology design (Industrial or Mechanical Engineering Technology, Associates in Applied Science, A.A.S.). Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in the use of AutoCAD and a working knowledge of mechanical systems. Computer software skills in MS Office. "Hand Mechanical Drawing Skills" for interpreting field take-off information. Construction site experience is a plus. Be physically fit for site work. Be willing to travel throughout the U.S. and Canada up to 25% of the time. Have a valid driver's license. 3D Cad software experience is a plus.
Customer Expectations:
The CAD Designer must execute the following:
Know and understand all Terms & Conditions of each project. Know and understand all expressed and implied commitments, all customer expectations, and design schedules.
Manage customer follow-ups, a project checklist and reworks. Provide continued support in the event of a post-shipment product non-compliance. Meet the required completion dates.
Compensation Range
$20.00 - $40.00
