What is a computer services assistant?

Computer Services Assistants are support staff who help maintain and troubleshoot computer systems, assist users with technical problems, and ensure that hardware and software function properly. They may set up equipment, install software, and provide guidance on using various computer applications. Often working in educational institutions, offices, or IT departments, these assistants play a key role in keeping technology running smoothly and efficiently.

What does a computer services assistant do?

As a Computer Services Assistant, your daily tasks often include troubleshooting hardware and software issues, setting up new workstations, assisting staff with technical support requests, and maintaining inventory of IT equipment. You will frequently collaborate with other departments to address their technology needs, ensuring smooth operations across the organization. What skills and qualifications are needed to be a computer services assistant?
