Job Summary

The Business Intelligence Competency Center (BICC) Quality Analyst ensures the integrity, consistency, and usability of enterprise reporting solutions across the organization. This role provides technical and governance oversight to guarantee that all BICC deliverables adhere to established standards, best practices, and performance expectations. It requires advanced proficiency in Business Intelligence tools, DAX coding, SQL, and data relationship modeling, with the ability to guide development efforts and elevate reporting capabilities to an enterprise level. The Business Intelligence Competency Center (BICC) Quality Analyst manages the intake process for reporting requests, ensures developers maintain clear communication with stakeholders, and develops and maintains the enterprise reporting catalog with accurate metadata and version control. Acting as a key enabler of the BICC’s BI Governance pillar, this role drives adoption of reporting tools, promotes self-service practices, and ensures scalable, secure, and high-performing reporting solutions across all business functions.

Essential Job Functions*

  • Manage the centralized intake process for reporting requests, ensuring accurate triage, prioritization, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide advanced technical oversight and guidance to BI Developers, ensuring adherence to development standards, best practices, and optimized performance.
  • Review and validate complex reporting deliverables for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established business logic and governance standards.
  • Maintain and govern the enterprise reporting catalog, including metadata accuracy, version control, and lifecycle management of reporting assets.
  • Enforce data security and compliance policies across reporting environments, conducting audits and coordinating remediation with IT and Data Governance.
  • Monitor BI environments for system health, performance issues, and subscription accuracy, troubleshooting failures and mitigating risks proactively.
  • Engage with business units to drive reporting adoption, deliver advanced training, and promote self-service practices while providing feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Certification in Microsoft Products, primarily Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Oracle, are desired.
