Job Description

Summary

AV is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Information Security Analyst. In this role, you will work with the Cybersecurity team on a variety of Information Security tasks, to include software vetting, compliance documentation, exception monitoring, engineering and automation tasks, and configuration support. You will be required to manage your workload independently, support compliance for the Enterprise, monitor and adjust your priorities to requests, develop processes and maintain documentation, and work with IT and Cybersecurity teams to ensure security configurations remain aligned with expected frameworks. This role offers the opportunity to take on new responsibilities upon demonstrated capabilities.

Position Responsibilities

  • Tier 1/2 Cyber help desk technician duties, including initial customer contact, customer issue identification, troubleshooting, and resolution of ticket issues in a timely manner with excellent customer engagement
  • Perform vetting and review of software for inclusion on/exclusion from the production network
  • Perform security posture checks and remediate vulnerabilities
  • Assist with risk assessment, system and communication analysis, development of compliance processes and documentation, to include, but not limited to, RMF, NIST SP 800-171, and CMMC
  • Escalation of issues to the appropriate engineer or manager when appropriate
  • Assist in maintaining and developing the InfoSec Team's process documentation
  • Provide customer service and inter-departmental support
  • Analyze email and communicating with Cyberoperations team on suspicious communications
  • Additional duties, as required, to include support and collaboration with IT department and other teams as needed.
  • This is a growth oriented position where the limits to your role will be determined by how well you can streamline your processes, build capabilities, and help optimize the environment for yourself and the rest of the team.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field - or equivalent work experience.
  • Have active Security+ certification (or be required to obtain within six months of onboarding)
  • Solid understanding of multiple cybersecurity domains in terms of implementation, and documentation
  • Strong English language skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements (NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, ISO 27001, etc.)
  • Strong time/task management skills
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple ongoing tasks efficiently
  • Willingness to learn and contribute

Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies

  • 1-3 years of progressive experience in information security, cybersecurity, or equivalent roles
  • Active A+ and/or Net+ certification(s) or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Linux configurations and security
  • Experience with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, network mapping, vulnerability analysis
  • Experience leveraging scripts, automation, and/or data analysis to streamline your workflows, increase situational awareness, and improve capabilities in the context of cybersecurity

Physical Demands

  • Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)

The salary range for this role is:
