Job Summary

As a Senior Cyber Security Analyst, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization's information systems and data. You will be responsible for assessing and strengthening the security posture, identifying vulnerabilities, and developing strategies to mitigate risks. This role involves analyzing security data, conducting penetration testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement robust security measures.  

Responsibilities
  • Lead triage efforts for mid-tier and larger scale incidents, as required. 
  • Investigate security incidents, conduct forensic analysis, and provide incident response support.  
  • Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to proactively address potential risks.  
  • Lead and mentor junior security analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.  
  • Evaluate and recommend security technologies to enhance the organization's defense mechanisms. 
  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices. 
  • Perform regular security audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. 
  • Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement security solutions. 
  • Participate in the development of security awareness training programs for employees.  
  • Participate in the development of organization wide security policies and implementation of best practices. 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Security, or equivalent years of experience 
  • 6+ years experience in Cyber Security 
  • Scripting, programming, or automation experience  
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a security analyst with a focus on incident response, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments 
  • In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, protocols, and best practices  
  • Strong understanding of network security, encryption, and authentication protocols 
  • Proficient in security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and antivirus solutions 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks  
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non- technical stakeholders 
  • Familiarity with AI Tools and AI First mindset

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) preferred

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in New York  is $100,246.00 - $164,689.00/year. For other locations, please inquire with your recruiter.
