Job description

Job Summary: The Security Analyst will play a key role in strengthening and maintaining the organization's cybersecurity posture. This role requires a team-oriented professional who can also work independently to design, implement, and enforce IT security best practices across the enterprise. The analyst will monitor networks for security issues, manage vulnerability scanning tools, maintain endpoint security solutions, and document all identified security concerns to ensure timely remediation and full compliance. Job Duties: * Develop, implement, and maintain organization-wide IT security best practices. * Monitor computer networks and systems for security issues and anomalous activity. * Install, configure, and maintain security software and endpoint protection solutions. * Document all discovered security issues and support remediation efforts. * Manage and maintain vulnerability scanners to ensure continuous compliance. * Review weekly Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) and verify server patch currency. * Process weekly vulnerability reports and provide updates to leadership. * Ensure endpoint security software and servers are patched, updated, and fully operational. * Support vulnerability management, identification programs, and continuous monitoring for certification and accreditation. * Utilize SIEM tools for real-time monitoring and analysis of security events. * Provide administrative and technical support as required. * Experience with HBSS is a plus. Required Qualifications: * U.S. citizenship required. * Minimum Interim Secret clearance at time of hire. * Ability to obtain IAT-II certification within 90 days of employment. * 3+ years of experience in endpoint security and vulnerability scanning. * Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) preferred but not required. Key Technical Skill Sets * Experience with SIEM tools and standard security monitoring practices. * Familiarity with network security concepts, common terminology, and virtualized environments. * Experience with ACAS and NESSUS vulnerability scanners. * Knowledge of HBSS is beneficial. Compensation: We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $70,000- $85,000/year.
