Summary
Serve as an intermediary between business and technical areas. Work with internal and external teams to collect, clarify, and translate business and/or technical requirements. Develop applications and solutions.

Essential Functions
• Essential functions as outlined in Business Analyst I.
• Consistently makes strong contributions to projects and team efforts.
• Has knowledge of the business side and contributes to strategic decisions.
• Facilitate workshops and advanced requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders.
• Identify areas for process improvement and recommend innovative solutions.
• Lead the design, testing, and validation of sophisticated tools and processes.
• Serve as the division expert in business analyst best practices, tools, and methodologies.
• Ensure appropriate visibility and communication as it relates to the project/solution.
• Collect feedback to look for issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure that all documents are complete and stored appropriately.
• Demonstrates the guiding principles of Aerostar.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow established safety and ergonomic standards.
• May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
• Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.

Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, business, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years related experience, or experience in lieu of education.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities as outlined in Business Analyst I.
• Understanding of repeated queries via scripting, stored procedures, or other automation techniques expected.
• Basic understanding of data models, data flow, and system design.
• Specific experience in SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel features, etc., required.
• Business Analysis certification or formal training preferred.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Physical Requirements: Required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Working Conditions: Exposure to a normal office environment. Position may occasionally require entering a production environment, including exposure to noise, fumes, moving machinery, and varied temperatures.
