Minimum Qualifications of Education and Experience This is a provisional, temporary position expected to end October 2026. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science or related field and four (4) years of experience in a similar position as listed in the work functions. OR Master's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science or related field and two (2) years of experience in a similar position as listed in the work functions.

OR A combination of education and experience equivalent to eight (8) years of experience in a similar position as listed in the work functions. Regular and reliable attendance is a necessary component of job/position. Individuals required to use County vehicles and equipment must have a valid driver's license and be free of any major traffic violations for the last three (3) years.

Nature of Work Under general supervision, ensures the stable and secure operation of enterprise applications and organizational data in a complex information technology (IT) environment. Supports a diverse, respectful, and inclusive workplace. Examples of Work Administers enterprise applications to meet business and customer requirements.

Provides application support, including installation, release management, and configuration. Troubleshoots client related issues for assigned enterprise application software. Conducts capacity planning and change management for assigned enterprise application software.

Maintains application specific access management and security support. Provides consultative support for other teams and customers regarding enterprise applications. Coordinates outsourcing activities for assigned enterprise applications.

Researches, analyzes, and recommends new software. Collaborates with business support teams and customers to provide guidelines and integration details for new system requirements. Assists with the design and implementation of redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of data assets.

Assists with the development of standards for the client application portfolio. Develops policies and procedures for operation and support of enterprise applications. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Thorough knowledge of assigned application systems including the capabilities and limitations of those systems. Examples: CGI, Linux, Kubernetes, Rancher, etc. Thorough knowledge of industry best practices related to the assigned systems.

Knowledge of server and network applications. Skill in coordinating activities related to enterprise application administration. Skill in analytical thinking and problem solving.

Skill in the use of Microsoft technologies. Skill in developing Active Batch Scheduler in a server environment. Ability to analyze requirements, procure effective solutions and manage solution implementation.

Ability to manage projects. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
