12 month contract for a Software Engineerrole with a leading client in Peoria, IL OR Chicago, IL. APPLY NOW!!!!
Title: Software Integration (API & Connectivity) Engineer 2 #100377
Location: Mossville, IL
Workplace type: 100% onsite (M-F, 40 hour work week)- open to relocation candidates but MUST be able to be onsite day 1 of contract (max 2 weeks from offer) and relocation is not covered by Swoon or the client
Type: Contract
Hours: 7 am - 3 pm CST
Pay: $47.33/hour on w2- exact rate no flex
Length: 12 months
Screenings: no tech, full panel drug and background once hired
IV process: 1-2 rounds
+optional benefits, long term contract with ability to extend or convert to full time
Must haves:
  • min 2-4
  • BS degree OR Open to 2 year degree with 6 years experience OR Open to Master's right out of college

Job Description:
The main function of a software engineer is to apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that make computers work. A typical software engineer researches, designs, develops and tests operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific and general computing applications.
Job Responsibilities:
โ€ข Modify existing databases and database management systems.
โ€ข Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
โ€ข Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
โ€ข Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.
Skills:
โ€ข Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
โ€ข Project management and coordination
โ€ข Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time.
โ€ข Basic knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery.
โ€ข Basic ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue.
โ€ข Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.
