Network and Computer Administrator - Senior
C² seeks a Network and Computer Administrator to work closely with and under the supervision of the IT Manager to manage, secure, and optimize IT systems that support Navy training operations and schoolhouse infrastructure.
Summary
Responsible for managing, securing, and optimizing IT systems across on-premises, virtualized, and cloud-based environments in support of Navy training operations. Provides technical leadership in networking, security, and cloud computing, oversees IT projects, and implements enterprise-level solutions that comply with Navy, DoD, and cybersecurity standards.
Responsibilities
  • Manage, monitor, and optimize network infrastructure, servers, and end-user computing systems in support of Navy training operations.
  • Configure, secure, and maintain on-premises and cloud-based networks, systems, and applications.
  • Lead IT projects from planning through implementation, including requirements analysis, design, deployment, and sustainment.
  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures in compliance with DoD/Navy security directives, RMF, and CMMC requirements.
  • Administer firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint security tools to safeguard sensitive data and systems.
  • Manage system backups, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity processes.Troubleshoot and resolve complex IT issues involving network, security, or system performance.
  • Provide user support, training, and technical guidance to staff and instructors.
  • Develop and maintain IT documentation, diagrams, and SOPs for configuration, security, and system operations.
  • Conduct system audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk analyses; recommend and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with program managers and training staff to integrate IT capabilities with instructional technology and training systems.
Requirements
Education Requirement
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (required).
Experience Requirement
  • 5+ years of experience in network and computer administration, including managing complex IT projects and leading IT teams.
  • Hands-on experience in networking, cybersecurity, and cloud computing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of DoD/Navy cybersecurity requirements, RMF, and CMMC standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, design, and implement secure, resilient IT networks and systems.
Experience Requirement - tools and software
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE).
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP).
Experience Requirement - soft skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to interface with staff, instructors, and Navy program managers.
  • Ability to manage multiple IT projects concurrently while maintaining compliance and security standards.

  • Must have an active DoD security clearance or eligibility to obtain one
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with Navy or DoD training IT systems, including classified/unclassified network environments.
  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and enterprise management tools (SCCM, Intune).
  • Experience integrating instructional technologies, simulators, or eLearning platforms into enterprise IT networks.
  • ITIL or equivalent service management certification.

Base Salary Range: $65,000 - $95,000 / year. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and structural alignment. Individual pay is influenced by several factors, including the candidate's work location, relevant experience, skillset, and contract constraints.
