Job description

Job Description & Responsibilities

We are seeking onsite FSR's to be critical members of the Persistent Systems, LLC Field Technical Service and Support (FT2S) team supporting Air Force programs in Minot, ND.

As a Field Service Representative (FSR) with Persistent Systems, LLC, you will deliver dependable, professional, and compliant on-site support for government contracts and mission-critical operations. In this role, you will ensure that systems, users, and services consistently meet contractual performance standards through structured training, proactive maintenance, and effective sustainment practices.

You will also perform hands-on technical tasks, including equipment maintenance using bucket trucks at heights of approximately 60 feet. Additionally, you will support performance tracking, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure readiness for audits and reporting requirements.

Position Responsibilitiesย 

Maintain

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance in accordance with contractual maintenance standards and schedules
  • Install, inspect, repair, and troubleshoot equipment comprised of both fixed and mobile infrastructure, including pole-mounted and elevated locations, both indoors and outdoors
  • Safely operate bucket trucks equipment to perform work at heights up to 60 feet
  • Execute installation, upgrades and repairs following approved technical baselines, SOPs and contract deliverables

Sustain

  • Support long-term system readiness and contract sustainment objectives
  • Maintain accurate asset records, configuration data and lifecycle documentation
  • Identify recurring issues, risks to performance metrics and improvement opportunities
  • Support continuity of operations and surge requirements as defined by contract

Train

  • Conduct training classes for all levels of system end users
  • Provide hands-on instruction and operational guidance aligned with contract requirements
  • Reinforce safety standards, approved procedures, and configuration baselines
  • Assist in capturing lessons learned and updating approved training materials
Job Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience supporting government contracts, regulated environments and/or mission-critical operations
  • Demonstrated ability to safely operate bucket trucks
  • Comfortable working at heights up to 60 feet
  • Schedule - 4/10 hr. shifts, 0600 or 0900 showtime
  • Work in both indoor and outdoor environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
  • Ability to follow defined procedures and contractual requirements
  • Proficient with service reporting, ticketing and/or asset management systems
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Must have or be able to obtain a United States Secret security clearance

  • Air Force Maintenance or Security Forces background and experience
  • MANET or Wave Relay experience
  • Experience supporting LOS and BLOS communications networks
  • Testing and evaluation experience
  • A2B Tracking or similar IUID equipment tracking system experience
  • CompTIA A+ or other certification in accordance with DoDM 8140 Cyber Workforce Qualification Program Matrix, 411 - Technical Support Specialist role

The base pay for this role can vary from $75,000 - $85,000 a year based on individual qualifications. Eligibility for yearly discretionary bonus.
