JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Deskside Support Supervisor has the overall responsibility of supervising the activities, development, and daily work assignments of all Deskside Support Technicians in a manner consistent with UVMHN objectives, ensuring they can meet or exceed the organization's goals and needs. The primary objective of this position is to ensure exceptional customer service for UVMHN employees. Work areas are all desktop related hardware, software and peripherals. The Supervisor makes recommendations regarding the operational and capital budgets for the software applications and hardware needs in their area and is accountable to work within UVMHN guidelines. The Deskside Support Supervisor works very closely with other IT teams to identify needs, align strategies, develop plans and execute procedures to meet those needs and expectations. The Deskside Support Supervisor assists in meeting or exceeding departmental goals through the implementation of appropriate policies, procedures and applications.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree or certification in computer science, desktop support, computer hardware, or another relevant field is highly desirable. Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
EXPERIENCE:
Five to seven years progressively responsible Information Technology experience with direct customer contact and experience in customer service, PC/desktop support, and team leadership. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, concurrent and complex projects/issues. Proven ability to effectively develop, build and motivate teams to achieve a higher level of outcome.
