Job Description Job Title: Senior Infrastructure Engineer (IT) Location: Brookings, SD | Hybrid flexibility available after onboarding and successful integration into the role. | Occasional overnight travel required. Job Type: Full-time, Regular Job Description: We are partnering with a long-standing, family-owned manufacturing company to identify a Senior Infrastructure Engineer who will play a key role in supporting and evolving the organization's technology environment.

This is a senior-level individual contributor position offering significant ownership, autonomy, and influence. The successful candidate will serve as a technical leader across infrastructure, networking, identity management, and end-user computing while helping drive modernization initiatives, system improvements, and long-term technology strategy. Working closely with IT colleagues and business stakeholders, this individual will ensure critical systems remain secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities: Manage and optimize enterprise infrastructure, including servers, virtualization, storage, identity management, and cloud-connected systems. Support and enhance a multi-site network environment, including routing, switching, wireless networks, firewalls, VPN connectivity, and core network services. Serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex infrastructure, network, and end-user technology issues.

Lead infrastructure upgrades, system implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance performance, security, and scalability. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver reliable technology solutions while maintaining documentation, standards, and best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

5+ years of hands-on infrastructure experience. Experience administering enterprise technologies including virtualization platforms, Active Directory, identity management, storage solutions, and multi-site environments. Strong networking knowledge, including routing, switching, VLANs, wireless networking, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewall technologies.

Demonstrated success troubleshooting complex technical issues and communicating effectively across technical and non-technical audiences. Experience with technologies such as VMware/Nutanix, Citrix, Okta, Palo Alto firewalls, CrowdStrike (or comparable EDR), and enterprise storage solutions preferred. PowerShell scripting and automation experience preferred.

Manufacturing and/or multi-site environment experience highly preferred. Experience with Microsoft 365, Teams, Zoom, thin client environments, and endpoint management solutions is a plus.
