Corteva Agriscience is seeking students for full-time internships within our Research and Development organization in Indianapolis, Indiana. Interns will work closely with experienced scientists and technical experts in an industrial R&D setting, with opportunities to build skills, contribute to meaningful projects, and network across the company.
What You'll Do:
Interns will work on one of many computer science-based projects including automation, software engineering, information science, machine learning, database building and visualization, statistics, geospatial analysis, and/or mathematical modeling.
  • Engage with business users to gather requirements, understand use cases, and identify opportunities to improve internal tools, workflows, and business processes.
  • Explore and implement AI, machine learning, analytics, and automation capabilities to improve efficiency, recommend process improvements, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop AI-enabled solutions that use historical data and patterns to recommend templates, workflows, task structures, dependencies, or other ways to manage work more effectively.
  • Integrate and analyze data from multiple internal sources to improve data quality, reporting, dashboards, chatbot capabilities, business insights, and connections across project activities, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Develop and enhance internal tools through workflow automation, responsibility or role mapping, administrative process improvements, and functionality that reduces manual effort.
  • Work with geographic information systems, where applicable, to develop new data products and conduct assessments.

What Skills You Need:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Automation or a related Field
  • Must have successfully completed two full years of undergraduate-level computer science or Data Science curriculum including associated laboratory courses.
  • Strong technical data skills and business communication, curiosity and willingness to interact with stakeholders, problem-solving mindset.
  • Interest or experience in data engineering, data pipelines, cloud data platforms, workflow orchestration, version control, testing, deployment, or CI/CD practices is a plus.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Must be able to relocate to Indianapolis, IN for the duration of the internship.
  • Must be able to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during the timeframe of May to August (some six-month internship opportunities available).
  • Experience with the R programming language, Python, cloud computing (Azure, AWS, GCP), and visualization packages is a plus but not required.
